Dismissed is a campaign that raises awareness about medical malpractice against women. The goal is not just educating and spreading awareness, but empowering women to take initiative in their health as well.
Why Medical Malpractice?
I was inspired by my own experience with medical malpractice and negligence. I felt frustrated, anxious, and isolated, since I didn’t know anyone my own age who had a similar experience. However, when I spoke to more women for this campaign, I realized this issue was larger than me. Unfortunately, it is very common and the research I conducted made it evident.
Social media
I wanted this campaign to live online, so I made an Instagram with a series of posts. They were made to spread awareness, educate and advertise the website.

Posters
I went through a series of drafts to finalize the trio below. Although this is a digital campaign, I wanted to represent it physically, which was shown at the exhibition. The goal of these posters was to spread awareness about the issue, while advertising the community aspect of the website.

Website
I created a website that provides community for victims of medical malpractice/ negligence and helps women find their ideal doctor. As someone who has experienced the problem first-hand, I felt these components would be beneficial resources for someone in my position.

motion
I created a brief motion graphic to support my campaign. It highlights the issue of medical malpractice and how Dismissed can provide resources for those struggling.
